Shirley Linde is a well-known author whose
37 books have been translated into many languages around the world. She
has written for major magazines, including Readers Digest, Ladies Home
Journal, Good Housekeeping and
Family Circle. Her books have had such publishers as Crown,
Bantam, Harper & Row, John Wiley & Sons, NAL, and Simon & Schuster.

Medical Writing
Linde was director of public
relations at Northwestern University Medical and Dental Schools in
Chicago, and served as public relations
consultant to hospitals, universities, medical associations, government
agencies and corporations. In her medical writing she was a pioneer in
the concept of self-help and contributed much to the knowledge and
understanding of the public about science. She is currently editor
of
MedicalInformationCenter.org, a website for the public with
medical videos and links for medical information.
Travel Writing
In her travel writing Linde was an author of
two cruise guides and a contributor to others. She is editor of
SmallShipCruises.com, a website with information
on small ships around the world, and
CruiseRecipes.net , a
website in progress with favorite recipes of cruise chefs.
She has lived in Cincinnati,
Chicago, New York and on an outisland in the Bahamas, and now lives in St.
Petersburg, Florida.
